Chester grew up as a textile-mill town along one of the region's earliest rail lines, and the historic downtown that developed around its hilltop courthouse is still the heart of the community. Homes near that core tend to be older, with original garage doors and hardware that have been kept running longer than they probably should have been. Out toward the edges of town, newer construction brings a more typical mix of builder-grade doors and openers that are just now due for their first tune-up. We work on both.
