Stark Door has been in the door business for 19 years. That's long enough to have seen every way a garage door can fail: springs that give out on the coldest morning of the year, tracks knocked out of line by a bumper, openers worn out after decades of daily use, heavy iron gates that stall halfway when the weather turns.
It's also long enough to learn what actually matters. Not the brochure. Not the tagline. The small things — showing up when we said we would, telling you plainly what's wrong, and finishing the job so well you forget we were there.
01Learning it the long way
You can't learn this work from a manual. The early years teach you the mechanics — springs, cables, drums, tracks, rollers, openers. The years after that teach you judgment: when a repair is the honest answer, when a replacement will actually save you money, and how a door behaves differently in a humid Carolina July than in a January freeze.
A garage door is usually the biggest moving part of a home: a heavy door held in balance by springs under serious tension. When it works, nobody thinks about it. When it doesn't, it's the only thing anyone can think about. We've spent nineteen years being the call people are glad they made.
